Question: So how do you keep hearing aids behind the tiny ears of a 3 week old baby anyway?!?!

Answer: Wig tape! It’s true. It might sound ridiculous but ask any parent that’s been there. Using wig or toupee tape to keep the behind-the-ear hearing aid taped gently to the skin behind the ear will be one of the best discoveries you’ve made. You may also check your yellow pages for a local wig store or hair salon to see if they sell it. Often, it comes in a roll, and you just cut off the size you need. You will have to change it every time the hearing aids come off.

Question: If the hearing aids fall off or are pulled off, how do we keep from losing them?

Answer: Hearing aid clips are available from a few different sources, you may ask your audiologist how to get some. However I've often been told by parents that the clips are too bulky on the hearing aid and end up being just too much behind the ear of a little baby. One solution is seen below: simply using dental floss.
